FOOD TEXTILE fabric adopted for the steam iron bags in guest rooms
at Courtyard by Marriott Kyoto Karasuma

FOOD TEXTILE has been adopted for the steam iron bags placed in the guest rooms of the new hotel Courtyard by Marriott Kyoto Shijo Karasuma, operated by JR Tokai Hotels.
The fabric is dyed using coffee grounds left after the drip brewing process.
While all guest rooms in the company’s hotels are equipped with hair dryer bags made from reused old uniforms,
this initiative shares a similar concept. The color was chosen to reflect both the hotel’s image and the coffee that is beloved by its guests.
This collaboration was realized through a partnership with JR Tokai Hotels under the Aichi Circular Economy Promotion Project launched by Aichi Prefecture.
